Celebrated on the last Sunday of the liturgical year
This Sunday, we celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, which also marks the last Sunday in Ordinary Time in the liturgical calendar. This feast calls us to reflect on the kingship of Christ—not as a ruler of power and domination, but as a King of love, mercy, and justice. How can we acknowledge Christ as King in our daily lives? It can begin with simple acts of love and service—reaching out to a neighbor in need, showing patience to family members, or offering time and talents to our parish and community. By putting Christ first in our decisions, words, and actions, we allow His kingship to guide us. Living under His reign is not about power, but about love, humility, and making the world around us a reflection of His kingdom.
