Mission Statement
What is the Parish Council?
The Council is organized as a consultative body, representative The Parish of St. Francis De Sales and St. Andrew, and called to assist the community in fulfilling the Parish Mission. While providing vision and strategic planning to organizations within the parish, the Council shall be sensitive to the needs and desires of the Parish, and strive to ensure that Gospel-centered values are upheld, as we welcome all as Christ.

What is the Council's Purpose?
"...The Council's role is to offer counsel to the Pastor on matters affecting the life and ministry of the parish community. The Pastoral Council assists the Pastor in accomplishing goals by offering counsel to him. This consultative responsibility is rooted in the obligation of all the baptized to pursue the common good of the Church. It is present in the emerging consensus flowing from the combined gifts and multiple experiences of the people of God."

We, the members of the Pastoral Council, join Father Marius and Deacon Larry in welcoming you to our parish family. There are many opportunities to share and grow in our faith together and participate in the stewardship of our parish. We invite you to get in touch with any one of us to talk about how we can help you experience all our parish has to offer. The parish website, weekly bulletin, are also valuable resources that are available to answer many of your questions. Our Parish Pastoral Council is representative of the entire parish in the life and mission of the church. The Council is a visioning and planning body that advises our pastor in areas of pastoral concern. Members are appointed by the pastor and serve for a number of years. Full Pastoral Council meetings are held 4-7 times a year at St. Francis De Sales Churc. Meeting minutes are posted on our website once they have been approved by the Council.
The pastor guides the final decisions of the Council and is the authorizer of any course of action taken.
