Mr. Jack Turner of High River, Alberta, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the High River Hospital on March 25, 2026, at the age of 84 years.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Sharon Turner; his brother, Donald Turner; and his children: Chad Turner, Julie Turner (Alan), Dean Turner, Karen Moore (Ryan), and Brad Turner (Wendy). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Jonathan, Devon, Cailynn, and Sierra Turner; Damon Turner, Erica, Rowan, and Dallas Moore; and Gracie and Halle Turner; as well as his great-grandchild, Campbell Turner. Jack was predeceased by his parents, John and Madge Turner, and his brother, Lawrence Turner.

Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Jack spent his early years living in Calgary, Michel-Natel and Sparwood. He married the love of his life Sharon Kilgannon in 1963. They lived in Grande Prairie and Calgary until settling in High River in 1977. He graduated as an Electrical Technician from SAIT and went on to have an extensive career with AGT, working in Calgary and High River for over 30 years. Throughout his life, he built a legacy grounded in hard work, faith, and devotion to family and community.

Jack loved and taught others to fish. He enjoyed travelling, playing cards and board games, and searching for treasures at garage sales. He took great pride in watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports, especially hockey. Summers at Crimson Lake, BC road trips to see relatives and family gatherings in the Crowsnest Pass were among his most cherished times. A devoted member of the Catholic Church, Jack lived faithfully and was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also an active community member with the High River Kinsmen and, later in life, the Oddfellows and TOPS.

He was a Jack-of-all-trades, known for his generous spirit, his willingness to help others, and his family-first approach to life. He had a huge heart, and will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

Prayer Service for family and close friends will be held at Lyle Reeves Funerals on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in High River on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
