I hope this letter finds you well. I have recently been accepted for a two-month summer internship at the Canadian Center for Bioethical Reform (CCBR for short). CCBR is a national, educational pro-life organization. The mission of CCBR is as follows: to make abortion unthinkable through the compassionate presentation of the truth about the nature of abortion. To achieve this goal, CCBR staffs many volunteers and interns, who are tasked with having these difficult discussions and with doing so gracefully and gently. By the Grace of God, through the efforts of the CCBR, many minds have been changed, and lives have been saved.
My work with the organization is simple: to engage anyone willing in conversation and express our dedication to the value of human life. This will be a full-time position, and I will need to fundraise a portion of my salary. I hope that by sharing this opportunity with you, you might be inspired to provide me with the necessary assistance required, as we work together to end the killing in Canada.
My heart is broken, both by the nearly 300 babies killed every day through surgical abortion in this country, but also by the way that so many mothers are tricked into doing so, primarily through simply not being made aware of the nature of what they have agreed to. Thus, based on this, I will be working with the team in Calgary and will receive training in pro-life apologetics, and be able to put that training to good use in conversation. Through this internship, I hope to have the opportunity to change both hearts and minds, as I feel is my calling.
