Divine Mercy Sunday 12 of April

Divine Mercy Sunday – A Celebration of God’s Infinite Love

On the Sunday after Easter, the Church celebrates one of the most beautiful devotions entrusted to us: Divine Mercy Sunday. This special day reminds us that no sin is greater than God’s mercy and that His love is always ready to embrace us, heal us, and restore us.

The message of Divine Mercy was given to the Church through St. Faustina Kowalska, a humble Polish nun, who received from Jesus a profound call to trust in His mercy and to share it with the whole world. Jesus told her, “The greater the sinner, the greater the right he has to My mercy.” These words continue to bring hope and consolation to countless hearts.

Divine Mercy Sunday is an invitation for each of us to turn to the Lord with confidence, to receive His forgiveness in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and to extend mercy to others in our daily lives. It is a day filled with grace, especially when we open our hearts to Jesus through prayer and trust.

We warmly invite all parishioners to join us for our Divine Mercy celebration on Sunday, April 12 at 3:00 PM. The celebration will include Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, prayed together as a community.

As someone of Polish heritage, this devotion holds a very special place in my heart. It is a beautiful spiritual treasure that I am grateful to share with our parish family. I encourage everyone to come and experience the peace, hope, and healing that flow from the Heart of Jesus.

Let us come together to pray:
“Jesus, I trust in You.”
